A Card for Peg !

Hello ! 
I have a Birthday card to show you today which I have made for a very special friend ! Not only is she a crafting genius and a great inspiration to me but she is also a very dear friend who I spend hours talking crafting with !!! She loves PINK so that was an obvious choice !!! Happy Birthday Peg !! 

Lots of different layered elements including heat embossing, stamping, die cutting and punching make up this card ! I loved making it because pink is my favourite colour too !!

Where I Create !

I love the publication " Where Women Create " ! I just love to see the environment in which the designers create all their beautiful art and crafts - how they have the space set out and organised - it's so inspirational !! So today I thought I would share with you my little creative space ! It's not a studio ( I live in hope ! ) just a spare room upstairs set up with all my lovely stash - it's my little haven and now it's organised and functional I love it ! Come in and take a look !!! 

I need a little more table space because I am an incredibly messy crafter but apart from that it's pretty much perfect !!!

Back to My Roots !

Good Morning ! 
Having recently tidied my craft room I discovered lots of gorgeous goodies that I just didn't know I had purchased or had forgotten that I owned - it was a joy really and saved me lots of pennies in the New Year !! I have been thinking about my style of crafting and think this piece really shows  exactly everything I am as a crafter - a little shabby , definitely a little vintage , my love of soft muted colours and a love of all things pretty !!! It's a 10 x 10 inch layout which I have mounted as a piece of wall art ! Lots of photos !!! 

I loved doing this layout and - so nice to have my new routine of working in the mornings and allowing myself the pleasure of some much needed crafting in the afternoons !! Long may it last !!!

Big Beautiful Butterflies !

Hello !! Have you seen the first butterfly of the season yet ? I was looking out of the window a few days ago ( it was one of those days that made you feel like Spring had finally arrived ) and there was the biggest lime green butterfly I have ever seen flitting across the garden in the sunlight ! It just seemed too cold to see a Butterfly but there it was - a little piece of Summer !! I love to use butterflies in my crafting and here are two cards I made at the end of last week !

My life is full with my new business and crafting has now become a relaxing hobby again - which is lovely and I'm looking forward to exploring new avenues of creativity and just enjoying crafting for myself  !!

Early Valentines Day Layout !

Hello ! 
It has been chaos here in the last few weeks and my craft room has been moved which as you know is not an easy 5 minute job !!! I have had to reorganise everything and in the process sort out all my stash - how on earth did it get so out of control?? On the upside I have found lots of gorgeous stash I didn't even know I owned and can't even remember buying !! Does any of this sound familiar ?? Now order has been resorted, except that I can't find most things now they have been tidied away !!! However I have finally managed to do some crafting in preparation for a class I am teaching on Valentines day - traditional colours and a return to my vintage style too !! So within my comfort zone !!! 

Hopefully I will now get in the craft room a little more often although I yearn for more space ( don't we all !! ) ! Happy crafting and thanks for stopping by !

Traditional White Christmas !

Hello - I expect you are all well into the lovely Spirit that is the Christmas season ? Irrespective of what you believe it is a time of year for a little more kindness and charity and it is also a time for being together with loved ones and those we do not see regularly all year through. I love the Christmas season - everything - the preparations, the celebrating, the giving, the being together, Carolling in Church and of course the food !!! 
Here is the card I am sending to my crafty friends this year - made well in time - surprise ! It's a lovely old stamp set which I love and haven't used much so I created a traditional white themed card with a bit of customary bling ! 

All that remains is for me to wish you a peaceful and magical Christmas and many blessings for the New Year !

Seasonal Wreath !

Good Afternoon ! It's been a cold and windy day here in Worcestershire and I have been out in the garden cutting greenery and putting together my door wreath !! I love making one each Christmas and this one is my favourite to date ! I have added some gorgeous faux Red Velvet Roses to add a little seasonal glam and a tartan bow - very traditional ! All the foliage is fresh from the garden and I will replace it two or three times over the holiday season - the white berries are also faux ( not sure if they are Snowberries or Mistletoe ! ) but accent the whole arrangement and make it pop !!!

Hoping that you are all enjoying your seasonal preparations as much as I am !!! I have even made all my family cards early this year !!!

Starry Christmas Decorations !!

Hello ! Just a very quick post today to share with you my little starry tree decoration ! I have abandoned my clay decorations - the clay was just not heavy enough to give the effect I was looking for so I plan to invest in some porcelain clay and then try again ! This star is made from layers of coaster board and is the first in a series that I am making ! It is blinged up with glitter glue, diamonds and glass glitter for lots of sparkle ! 

I am going to have fun making more of these next week ready to add to the Christmas tree !!

Choose Happiness !!

Hello ! Don't the days go quickly now Winter is approaching ? So few daylight hours in which to craft !!! I have a very simple card to share with you today made for my daughter Rosie - I also made a little clay tag to go with the card but this needs perfecting and will be a work in progress !! 

I have plans to make some Christmas decorations with the clay but it's not as simple as you might think to get a good finish - so lots of practice methinks !!

Christmas Journal !

Hello ! I have enjoyed making this journal which I am sharing with you today - it is all ready to have this year's Christmas photos inserted with mate a few little embellishments ! It measures 12 x 6 inches and is perfectly sized for 6x4 photos or smaller  ! Based on SU Coaster Board - my favourite because it takes the ink so well - each page is decorated using some of the current Christmas stamps  ! I've chosen shades of red and crumb cake to keep it simple and and added some glitter paper and bling for sparkle !!! 

Well - that's about it !!! I particularly love the Nordic style stamp used on the front and back of my journal - this has lots more potential and I need to have a play !!!
