Inspired by Beau Chateau !

Good Morning !
The un~seasonally warm weather continues here in the Midlands; it's really strange and I am almost yearning for some crisp golden Autumn days !

I have been playing with my new toys from the new Stampin' Up catalogue this week and have two cards to share with you . They were inspired by the colours in the new DSP  "Beau Chateau " which features all my favourite colours rolled into one lovely paper ! I do have the papers and will have some cards to show you shortly but I started by using a mix of stamp sets, which is what I tend to do ! They are so easy to mix up and you get a more unique result; I took inspiration from the idea book and catalogue too . The stamp sets used are " Nature Walk ", the new "Everything Eleanor " , which is fast becoming my new favourite, the numbers are new too ~ "Number It " which also has a matching alphabet ( on my wish list ! ) and the sentiment is from "Style Beautiful ". I have also included the new "Designer Frames" which are embossing folders to use in the fabulous " Big Shot " and I inked some very vanilla seam binding ribbon with crumb cake ( this is available already dyed but don't have any yet ! ). The rosette was a fourth attempt using the " Eyelet Border " punch for the edge and my bone folder to help me pleat the paper; the whole thing is secured onto hidden circles back and front using crystal effects.

This card features " Nature Walk " and the new frame and the " petite fleurs "are punched using the " Itty Bitty Shapes ' set ( I'm so thrilled to have another little flower punch ! ). I keep any larger bits of waste rubber from the stamp sets as the can be useful; when I have punched out my flowers from this set they are quite flat and I use a small headed embossing tool to press the centre of the flower into the spongy rubber to add dimension !
The card stock is bashful blue and I've used crumb cake , soft suede, bashful blue  and marina mist inks .
Today I'm going to have a play with the new fabric I have to match this paper, so do check back soon !
This new DSP ( Beau Chateau ) is so me and I know I will use it over and over. It is essential to try new things and work outside of your comfort zone and I totally endorse this but it is so lovely to come home to what you are really are ! Today I have a quote from Henry Ward Beecher which very much sums this up for me ~

"Every artist dips his brush in his own soul, and paints his own nature into his pictures "

Have a great day wherever you are and I really appreciate you stopping by to visit my blog !
Hugs Jane x
