Good Morning !
I have finally got round to playing with this cute little stamp set Sketched Birthday ! It has been sitting on my shelf and I have neglected it ! However yesterday I sorted out it's co-ordinating DSP - Birthday Basics and a complimentary stamp set - Chalk Talk and set to work ! We have a lot of friends birthdays at this time of year so this set is just perfect !!! Here's what I created !

I think this set is really pretty and it has a bit of a vintage feel to it especially when it's teamed with the DSP - I also think it goes well with Chalk Talk and the labels work nicely together !!!
Thank you so much for stopping by !

Soho Subway A5 Ring Binder Journal !

Hello ! I have just finished off one of those projects you keep going back to and doing a bit more on !!! You know the ones - you can't quite decide how to finish the inside off or what colour to stamp the title in and then you try something else and it looks way better and then all of a sudden it all comes together !!! My ladies will be making this A5 ring binder journal in my weekly classes and it's already had the thumbs up !! I used some DSP - Soho Subway to feature on the front and back and had fun making lots of little pockets and dividers to go inside ! The idea is to make the basic journal and then add to it over time - these ring binders are very popular at the moment - they are an alternative to a smashbook and great if you want to journal and then add in bulky items ( hence the copious pockets ).

A rather photo heavy post I'm afraid but I wanted to share with you all the details !! I used far too many stamps to list here - the card stock is naturals ivory , very vanilla, pink pirouette, crumb cake and blushing bride !! SU punches and die cut labels cut in half make great tabs and the corner rounder softens the edges ! Hope you like it !!
Happy crafting !

Venetian Romance Canvas !

Hello ! Hope your weekend is good ? We are having a peaceful and quiet one so time to craft and blog ! I have been ( slowly ) working on this canvas this week and got it all glued together yesterday after days of fiddling with the layout ( I do that sometimes !! LOL !!! ). The canvas measures 12 x 12 inches and I have covered half of it with a piece of delicious Venetian Romance DSP - the other half is washed with a thin layer of acrylic paint. I used the two gorgeous stamps - Ex Libris and Postcard to create two platforms onto which photos or sentiments could be mounted ( my lovely friend Gina suggested that the canvas could be used as a cover for a wedding album and the initials of the couple be added to the label on the Ex Libris stamp - I thought this was a super idea ! )

I have used lots of stamps sets to collage the background and made a selection of paper flowers to add texture. The leaves were made using the Little Leaves Sizzlit die and I added some crystal effects so I could then shape the leaves to add more interest !
I shall be making this project with my class ladies very shortly - if you would like to join my classes and live in the Worcester / Malvern area please do contact me via the mail link on my profile above for more details !

Beautifully Baroque !

Hello ! It's been chilly here in Worcestershire today and there is plenty of rain around - perfect crafting weather !!! I have been playing at making a mini book today for my ladies to make in class - this one is inspired by one designed by my brilliant upline Peg - you can look at her beautiful blog here - http://www.pegcraftalot.com/ ! Peg is very gifted at designing mini books and lovely boxes to hold notecards - I am not, so making the one with her first, gave me some much needed confidence ! I have changed mine up quite a bit and made it bigger and added some pages in and used the framelits labels dies to add some interest to the front cover. I have also used some DSP - Eastern Elegance and smoky slate 12 x 12 textured card stock from the new Seasonal catalogue. The inside is constructed using very vanilla card stock and there are pages and little library ticket style pockets with pull out tickets ( Peg's description - I am old enough to remember them and it's a great description ! )

I've shown lots of photos in this post in the hope that you can see how the whole thing works !!! ??? I haven't mounted photos in the mini book but they could be added to the tickets or pages easily if you wanted to give this as a gift for a special occasion .
I have just put some acrylic paint on a canvas ready for my next project - do come back and visit to see what I have created soon !
Happy crafting !

Contemporary Meets Shabby Chic !!!

Morning ! Yesterday I shared two cards with you that I made as part of a set that my class ladies will be making today ! Here are the other two - you will notice that I have lapsed towards my usual style or as one of my lovely ladies said - contemporary with a shabby twist !!!! I have used the same colours and many stamp sets to create a collage effect - way too many to list here but of course the effect can be achieved with other stamps ! The key thing is to get a balance between the colours - two yellows shouldn't go together but they offset each other nicely and I've used Basic Grey to accent the designs and give definition !

If you are local ( Worcestershire , UK ) and would like to join a class please contact me via the link in my profile above !

Now for Something Completely Different ..... !!!

Hello ! Every once in a while I like to push myself to make something which isn't my usual style ; I love shabby but not too antique, like to vintage my crafting up a little but not go too grungy !! What I really don't do is contemporary or geometric and I don't do YELLOW !!!! However , today I have broken all my usual rules and thrown caution to the wind !! LOL ! Here are the results .......

The colours I used for these cards are - Summer Starfruit , Crushed Curry , Basis Grey and Smoky Slate all on a background of Whisper White !
You know - I loved making these cards - who knows , maybe I'll change my signature style !!!! Back soon with the same colour scheme but a little more of me !!!!
Thanks for visiting - Hugs Jane xx

Kind and Cosy !

Hello ! A little late today with my post - I have started my weekly classes today - so nice to be back into the swing of things again !
I have a couple of cards today to share with you and a decorated Kilner jar using the stamp set Kind and Cosy , Gingham wheel and the Wildflower Meadow Bundle which includes a background stamp and embossing folder ! Now , these colours are a little out of my comfort zone as they are not subtle and muted but I like to try new things and really enjoyed working with the DSP Gingham Garden which co-ordinates so beautifully with the set ! This months kit is based on these sets the Wildflower Meadow bundle being available as an add-on ! Please contact me if you would like further details !

Happy crafting and thanks for taking the time to stop by !

Truly Grateful 12 x 12 Layout !

Good Morning !!!
There are so many gorgeous goodies in the new Seasonal catalogue and they are all available to purchase NOW !!! I am very taken with the Autumnal themed stash and the burlap ribbon is a must have - it's just fab and very versatile ! Today I have a layout to share with you using the Sunflower stamp set mixed in with two new stamps - Truly Grateful and Magnificent Maple as well as Gorgeous Grunge from the annual catalogue ! The Burlap ribbon is great for adding texture and I've also featured the new DSP - Sweater Weather in the project ! My absolute favourite is the new Chevron Border Punch - there are so many things you can do with it and I know it will get well used !

My photos are 2 x 3 inches and I don't like to over clutter a layout with too many photos - if I am going to put on more than one I scale the size right down !
Please do drop me a note via the link on my profile above if you have any queries about this project or want to order any products !
Thank you for stopping by !
