New Inspiration for a Much Loved Stamp Set !!!

Hello ! Do you find yourself using the same stamp sets over and over ?? You always have a few particular favourites and get then out at every opportunity - that's me with the gorgeous Flower Shop set - I have used it over and over and it's so popular with my class ladies too ! I was inspired to make this card after seeing this colour scheme used on a card in the new catalogue - I thought it was really pretty so used it as a starting point to make my own card ! 

It's a very simple design and includes one of my favourite sentiment quotes . It's incredible that you can easily create so much print and pattern with a few inks, card and stamp sets ! 

Remember the first day you can order from the new catalogue is 1st JULY so if you haven't let me have your order yet get it to me before that date with payment so you can get your hands on the new goodies !!!

Mini Notebook !

Good Morning !
An early post today as I have Rosie's Graduation today - what to wear though - I never seem to plan ahead when it comes to clothes !! Thankfully I am more organised when it comes to my businesses - generally !!! Some of you will have seen the new annual catalogue from SU already and what I particularly like is the the new craft ideas !! It has always been a catalogue and ideas book and I love some of the ideas this year and have taken lots of inspiration from them already ! This little book was inspired by one of them - I have had this stamp set for ages and it has been well used but I just had to have a go at this project !!!

Can you spot the new stash ??? I am managing to include bits of Project Life in so many creations - I love it and it's very versatile !!!

Girly Graduation Card for Rosie !

Good Morning ! 
I have a lovely day ahead of me as all my ladies are coming round for the annual catalogue launch !! I love it when the day comes and all the preparations are done and you can just enjoy the day !! One of the cards on display will be this one - I made it for my lovely daughter Rosie who has just completed her BSc Honors degree in Horticulture ! She has worked like a trojan for the last three years and I couldn't be more proud of her as she has also worked during that time to save up to buy things for her house and has kept a car running too ! We are going to the first of two Graduation ceremonies tomorrow at the beautiful Abbey in Pershore where she has studied - very excited ! 

Rosie likes clean and simple cards and you know I don't do those !!! This was the nearest I could get - LOL !!

12 x 12 Layout with Moonlight DSP and more Sneak Peeks !

Hello ! I like a new DSP that we have to play with - it comes in handy 6x4 sheets so is great for card making and scrapbooking too !! I have done another layout with my little baby as the subject - the soft colours of the DSP were perfect to enhance these cute photos !!! 

I loved creating this contemporary simple layout - when the photo subject is so cute you really don't need much embellishment !!!

Project Life becomes a Mini Book !

Hello ! I have a rather photo heavy project to share with you today - I got a little carried away with what was supposed to be a small mini book made from the Project Life cards - as you can see it came out a little larger than I planned ! I opened up the accessory kit and added in some little bits and bobs from that too - lovely bright colours and lots of nice little acetate die cuts ! It combines to make an interesting fun project ! 

I hope this gives you an idea of how my project fits together ? It is made from three pieces of 12x12 card stock and scored at 3 inches from the bottom edge to create pockets ! The finished book measures 9x4 ( see the first photo which shows the front cover ) and it folds in a concertina fashion ! 

There are lots of uses for the Project Life kits and - not just making up journal pages !!!

New Colours Sneak Peek !!!

Hello !!
More quick sneak peeks of the new colours today ! I've been experimenting with a couple of simple designs for my ladies to make at my launch party next week ! The jury is out as to which design will be the 'make and take' - I'm waiting for the votes to be cast !!! These are quick and easy cards but a great way to try out some of the new products !!!

 

Wow !! New punches , DSP , cardstock , inks and stamps !!!! 

Not long to wait now ! I will be taking orders from next week pre-paid please ( cash or cheque ) and putting the order in at 11PM on the 30th June !!!

Flower Shop and Sneak Peks !

Hello !
Gosh - where did the week go - I can't believe the weekend is already here ! I have two cards to show you today using some old stash and a few new ones - I'm liking this new colour - lots of possibilities !!! They are simple layered cards using some nice little hexagons - the frame was used on one card and the cut outs on the other - nothing gets wasted in my craft room !!! 

I just love grey with shades of gold and yellow and I also love putting a touch of metallic on my projects at present !! I love the sponging on the hexagon grid and like to overstamp to add texture !

Stippled Blossoms and Something New !!!

Good Morning ! 
We are having such beautiful weather at the moment - I sit in the dining room where I craft with all the windows open listening to the birdies with a lovely Summer breeze blowing on my face - so nice !!! I am making lots of samples using new products ready for my catalogue launch on 24th June and have used one of the cards from Project Life to make a card ! I've mixed it up with some stamping and a bit of bling - it's a five minute card - so simple !!! 

I like a quick and simple card card - I just don't make them very often !!!!

Project Life - Make a Wish Come True !

Good Morning !!! 

More PROJECT LIFE to share with you today - loving it - so quick and easy !! Just sort your photos then select a wallet that will fit your photos best - landscape and portrait - then select some co-ordinating journalling cards that fit the theme and away you go !!! Of course I have to ink the edges for definition and add a few stamped images because I want to make PL my own ! 

Anyone who knows me well will be aware of the fact that I have never been to the Big Apple but that I have a yearning to go one day - so this page is about my wish that I hope will one day come true ! I always break the rules - but it's not written anywhere that PL can't be about dreams !!!

Project Life - My Lilly !!!

Good Morning ! 
Just a quick post today to share with you a couple of PROJECT LIFE pages I've been working on !!
the subject is my adorable little Lilly ( she's such a poser !!! ) and I have to say being a scrapbooker this is just a great alternative to doing a whole 12 x 12 page - some find that expanse of card difficult to deal with so PL is just perfect !!! You work on smaller card stock ( standard sizes are - 6x4 , 4x4 and 3x4 inches ! ) and then put them all together in little pockets to create a whole page !!! 
Here are my two pages - they are back to back because the pre cut cards come double sided !! 

Many people I know have said they don't like PL because they feel they cannot do "messy " crafting - the idea is that you craft events that happen in your life as they happen and you add journalling - lots of it sometimes - quite often the pages can look quite crowded and busy !!! But, it is possible to apply the normal design principles that you would to any other project and create a cohesive page that looks pleasing to the eye, is colour co-ordinated and balanced ! These two layouts were way quicker to produce than an average 12 x12 scrapbook layout and they are fun to do !! More to come - I'm liking Project Life !!!

Sneak Peek - NEW In - Colours 2014-2016 !

Good Morning ! It's that time of year when we demos at Stampin' Up go a little crazy as we prepare for the imminent catalogue launch !! There is a frenzy of excitement as we all go about designing new projects to show off the new products ! We are allowed to pre-order a few select items from the new products on offer and of course we all have to have the new IN-COLOURS for 2014-2016 !! Well here they are - showcased on a quick and easy card !!

All the colours co-ordinate well together and work well in groups of three too ! Lots more news to come - watch this space !!

!2 x !2 Nature Theme Layout !

Hello ! Rather a late post just before bedtime !!! I have been working on this layout for a little while and finally got round to photographing it today now the light has improved !! We had a rather dark day yesterday with wall to wall rain - so much nicer to enjoy the sun today ! It's another Springer themed layout - 12 x 12 - with a natural Spring feel to it !! I love working in greens and it's nice to use a black and white photo and experiment with the colours you can put together - I added the black butterflies to tie everything in and love the results !! 

I used lovely Co-ordinations card stock for this layout and sanded it well - it takes the ink so well and   is probably my favourite card stock ever ! It is unusual for me to journal on my layouts but I wanted to write about my baby and handwriting seemed more personal !!!

12 x12 Layout in Neutral Tones !

Hello ! It's a little while since I posted here and it's not because I haven't been crafting !! Life has been manic - we are on the brink of launching a new catalogue at Stampin' Up which always causes much excitement - so I have been sadly sorting out retired stamp sets, planning my launch event, planning for classes and tending to my new business with Neal's Yard Remedies Organic ! I have to do a facial diploma on Sunday and I feel I've been studying to become a Doctor - who would have known !!! I shall be making this layout on Friday with my regular class ladies along with another which I will blog another day ! I love neutral tones so based the layout on vanilla card and added lots of metallics - these colours suited the photo which I "antiqued" in the editing process ! 

The puppy is my Lilly when she was a few weeks old - she is still gorgeous at two !!
