More Amore Butterfly and Hearts Banner !

I want to make something big to act as a backdrop for the display I did yesterday for my open event and I love so many of the gorgeous products in the latest Spring /Summer catalogue so combined a few to make a banner ! I really like doing 'big' crafty things but what is nice about this one is that each piece can be adapted to use on a card or scrapbook page ! Here are lots of photos to show you all the details !

Supplies used from the new Spring / Summer catalogue are :
5/8 inch flower trim , paper doilies, Artisan embellishments kit , More Amore DSP , Framelits dies, Core'dinations card stock in Pool Party and Primrose Petals , Bitty Butterfly punch and the gorgeous Swallowtail stamp

Check out the previous post to see the banner hung up !
I have lots more to post over the next couple of days so do stop by !!!
Happy crafting !

Open Event !

I am holding an open event at my house today and have worked really hard to get ladies interested - I am passionate about teaching and the main aim is to share what has become such a lovely hobby for me ! Moreover, it is such a joy to help someone create something that they perhaps didn't think they were capable of and watch them develop their own ideas !
Today has been lovely as I have received lots of support and encouragement and have lots of interest in what I do - so I could not be more pleased ! Here is my pasting table turned into a little display area for my offerings !!!

I have a scrapbook page to share with you in the next couple of days and the banner I made for display using some very pretty goodies from the Spring /Summer catalogue !
Thank you so much for your visit !

Sale - a Bration !

The annual Sale - a - Bration is well underway at Stampin' Up and there are lots of lovely freebies up for grabs for each £45 you spend !

I have made some very simple cards which feature some of the goodies from this year; the Madison Avenue stamp set and co-ordinating Sycamore Street DSP and ribbon and button bundle are gorgeous and not my usual colours but they are lovely to work with and it takes the hard work out of crafting as all the colours go beautifully together !

These are two of a kind - a variation on a theme - one being a little more simplistic than the other ! These cards are my make and take for my open event next Tuesday ( details below ) .

I am holding an open event at my home and if any local ladies ( Worcestershire and Herefordshire borders ) read my blog please contact me for more info !
The promotions run until 22nd March - so time is running out ! There are lots of great offers so don't delay !
Off to make some more samples for Tuesday - so many lovely craft goodies to play with and so little time !!!

Artisan Embellishments Kit Valentine !

Happy Valentines Day ! Hope you have all enjoyed red roses, chocolates and a handmade Valentine card from your loved one !!!LOL !!!!
The highlight of my day was the UPS man delivering my SU parcel ! I was panicking because I wanted to share with you the Artisan Embellishment Kit ( which I think is just lovely ! ) and run up a little Valentine card ! Just made it and taken some quick photos - so here it is !

The kit is available from the new Spring / Summer catalogue and is not just for Valentines day ! I would use it to make a romantic birthday card and I think it would lend itself really well to a nice scrapbook layout maybe for a wedding or engagement ?

No supplies list today ( please contact me via the link on my profile if you have any questions ! ) - but here is close up of all the goodies you get in the kit ! It is item number 129328 and costs £8.95 ! Everything is designed to go together and it all co-ordinates with the More Amore DSP

Here is a close up of the lace which I just love ! If you are interested in purchasing this kit or becoming a Demonstrator please e-mail me for more details ( via the link above ) !
Enjoy your evening !

Clockworks Cards for Boys !

Morning ! Well we have snow again here in Worcestershire - not much , but the sky looks full and like everyone I have had enough of Winter now - can't wait for Spring and the warmer days ! All this hibernating however, does result in more crafting - so there is an upside ! Today I have three of a kind to share with you which I made using mainly the Clockworks set from the main catalogue.

Supplies List:
Stamp Sets : Clockworks , The Open sea and Itty Bitty Banners
Card Stock : basi grey, crumb cake and very vanilla
DSP : paper stacks - neutrals
Inks : basic grey , whisper white, crumb cake,  chocolate chip and early expresso
Dies / punches : modern label and word window punches
Embossing folders : square lattice folder

Apologies for the strange camera angle ; these were taken on my phone and I was trying to avoid the shadows - the colours are a little wonky too because of the electric light !!!
These cards are simple in technique and I will probably use them when my classes start so my ladies can make some boys cards !

I am holding an open afternoon / early evening on Tuesday 26th February to launch my classes and showcase the SAB and new Spring / Summer catalogue ! Please contact me via the link on my profile above if you would like to book your place ! It is a free event with a make and take and everyone is very welcome !If you can't come then , I work from home so would be pleased to see at another time - just make contact and I'll happily get in touch !
Until then happy crafting !

Patio Party DSP Scrapbook Layout !

Scrapbooking was where I started in crafting and I like to keep my hand in every now and then ! I took some nice photos of my lovely daughter Rosie last summer and have been itching to scrapbook them ! She doesn't like any photos of herself and said that she liked my layout except for the photo !!! Boyfriend Howard told her she looked lovely so that was the end of that discussion !

Supplies used :
Stamp Sets : Tea Shoppe, Elements of Style, Distressed Dots  and Make a Cake
Dies and Punches : Framelits labels collection, itty bitty punches and  delicate doilies Sizzlits
Inks : baja breeze , cherry cobbler , not quite navy , pacific point , and marina mist
DSP : patio party
Cardstock : Very vanilla , cherry cobbler and not quite navy

The one thing about creating a scrap book page that I find hard is knowing when to stop adding !!! When I look back at some of my earlier attempts ( back in 2008 when I started ) I cringe - they are so simplistic and so not what I would produce today ! However , it teaches you that you have to start somewhere and that there is always room for improvement !
I tried to do something different with my bunting in this project and loved working with the DSP Patio Party with colours that are way out of my comfort zone ! What I really do love about SU is the creative colour combinations in their design suites - it's all done for you so you can be confident that everything works together - so clever !

Thank you so much for visiting today - so good of you to take the time !

Papaya Collage !

Good Evening !
Just spent a lovely day at my local crop talking crafting and girly things - such a nice way to spend a Saturday ! I had a bit of a play with my SU stash whilst I was there and despite lots of nattering made five cards ( this is quite an achievement for me as I am very easily distracted  !!! )
I do like the Papaya Collage stamp set and just did very simple cards to send through the post for friends daughters with a few random cut outs !

Suppies List :
Stamp sets : Papaya Collage , Nature Walk and Everything Eleanor
Card stock : Naturals ivory
Inks : pacific point , marina mist , riding hood red , old olive , lucky limeade, soft suede and pretty in pink .
Dies : little leaves sizzlit

I thought they had a delicate slightly Oriental feel to them despite the fact that they were quick and a bit random if I am honest! I quite like that sometimes - I didn't really put a lot of thought into planning - they just evolved !!!! However , it is a very nice set and at some point I will probably make something a little more sophisticated with it !!!
I made some Valentines too so will post those in the next couple of days !Until then happy crafting and thank you for your visit !
