Hand Knit !

A very late post today - project made but no time to upload until now - and I'm supposed to be cooking tea ! LOL ! I am trying to work my way through all the stamp sets I own and today I have had a play with the adorable set Hand Knit ! Now , I don't knit ( I'm far to impatient ) but imagine that when you have taken time and trouble to make a knitted garment to be given as a gift , that these cute labels would be ideal ! I have themed these for new baby knitted gifts using traditional baby pink and blue .

Supplies List :
Stamp sets : Hand Knit
Inks : pretty in pink, soft suede and marina mist
Punches/ Dies : two tags Bigz die , 1 3/4" scallop circle punch, dotted scallop ribbon border punch and buttons sizzlit die
Card stock : naturals ivory , pretty in pink and bashful blue
Accessories : linen thread and soft suede Stampin' write marker

This is such a lovely little stamp set and the baby cardi and lamb could be used to make welcome baby cards too ! It needs a revisit to explore other options !

Distressed Dots Valentines Cards !

Hello ! I have had a great time making these quick and easy cards to share with you today - they are four of a kind - all using the gorgeous large stamp Distressed Dots as a background . The cards are made from A4 - two cards from each piece and I used a retired card stock as it gave me the look I wanted but whisper white is just fine or even some of the glossy card might be nice !

They are fairly self explanatory - I matted the dotted layer to give more substance to the card and just sponged the edges for definition - on a simple card things like this make a difference ! They are so simple you could make these with children - they would enjoy making their own phrases - mine are a bit basic but you get the idea !!!
Note : I do not own the new letter dies so used the sizzlits that were recently retired - apart from the lower case card idea you will get almost the same effect !

Supplies List :
Card Stock : Retired confetti white , pretty in pink  and rose red.
Stamps : Distressed Dots , Established Elegance  and Artistic Etchings
DSP : Fan fair
Dies/Punches : Scalloped heart of hearts embosslit, itty bitty shapes punch  3/16" corner punch , scallop trim border and scallop edge border.
Inks : riding hood red and pretty in pink
Accessories : pearls

Valentines day will be with us before we know; I am planning to do more samples in my more traditional style but these were very enjoyable to make too !
Happy crafting and do come again !

Crumb Cake and Pretty in PInk !

Good afternoon !
I'm now well into the swing of blogging again ( and about time too , I hear you say !!! ) There are two reasons why I am getting my act together - the first is that rejoining SU has given me renewed enthusiasm and I have the loveliest upline in my good friend Peg ! The second is that I have had a major sort out of most of my craft stuff and had a reorganise and a throw out ; this served two purposes - I now know what I have and I want to play with it !!!
I have been using my two favourite SU colours for todays cards - crumb cake ( can't seem to make a project without using it ! ) and pretty in pink !

Supplies list for both cards :
Stamps : Mr and Mrs , Ex Libris ,Established Elegance, Apothecary Art
Inks : pretty in pink, crumb cake and soft suede
Punches / Dies : delicate doilies sizzlit, labels collection framelit, scallop trim border punch
Accessories : crumb cake taffeta ribbon, pearls, crotchet trim .
Card stock : very vanilla and pink pirouette

The first card was designed as a wedding invite or save the date card ; it is made from half a sheet of A4 (cut vertically so you get two out of the sheet) - if you do this, the entire Ex Libris stamp fits the front and then can be used either way ! The second card is half of a 12 x 12 sheet . The oval design on this card is stamped by using an oval frame ( die cut waste from any will do - SU have an oval accent Bigz die which would be ideal ! ) and low tacking it to the card front and then stamping within the frame to create this delicate border which was then accented with some ivory pearls . I don't own a Simply Scored but that is how a similar rosette could be achieved ! I had to cut down the smaller die cut doiliey to fit the back of the motif from Established Elegance but I was really pleased with the end result !
Off to find another stamp set I haven't used yet ! I do hate the mounting though !!!
Thank you for your visit and do stop by again !

Established Elegance card !

Hello ! Hope you are having a good weekend ? I am usually out and about on a Saturday but have a horrid cold so good excuse to stay in a do some crafting ! I wanted to design a card which showcased a wide range of SU products which would be good to use as a demo card ! This is unashamedly pink ( you will see a lot here - I love pink ! ) and is quite simple in it's construction but uses lots of processes and of course products !

Supplies list :
Card Stock : Petty in pink and very vanilla
Stamps: EX Libris and Established Elegance
Accessories : Crumb cake seam binding and vintage brads
Inks: crumb cake and soft suede
Punches/dies: Delicate doilies Sizzlit L and scallop trim border punch
DSP : Fan Fair

This is a simple layered card using the DSP ( lovely ! ) and the Ex Libris stamp as a mat to sit a couple of stamped images upon ! I always struggle with the seam binding - I don't like it too crumpled and so I run it over the end of the radiator to smooth it then it looks too prissy !!! I am pleased with the flower though and I think this purchase will prove to be a good one - lots of uses to explore with this Sizzlit ! Any questions you may have a bout this project please contact me via the link on my profile !
More to come on this theme !
Thanks for stopping by - hugs Jane x
