Sweater Weather Autumnal Cards !

Hello ! I 've had a little time off blogging and kept busy planning new projects and classes for the new Autumn term ! It seems a little weird looking ahead to getting Christmas projects organised but it is now four months away and I am not going to be disorganised this year - famous last words !!!! What is nice is doing Autumnal / Harvest projects - here in Worcestershire the harvest is well underway and the nights are starting to draw in ! You can feel the Summer ebbing away to what is probably my favourite season ! I love all the colours of Autumn and my Springers love it too - it's cool enough for them to have a good run and they like nothing better than playing in the leaves ! The resulting photos usually end up on a scrapbook page - watch this space !!!! For today though I have the first two of four cards to share with you using some of the new stash which will be available from the seasonal catalogue from the 29th August !

Back soon with more Stampin' Up gorgeous goodies !!!
Happy Crafting !

Best of Butterflies Shabby Cards !

Good Morning ! I have been sorting out my craft room - I knew it was going to be a huge task but nothing really prepares you for the shock of six years of uncontrollable craft spending and how much space it takes up in your house !! Those who know me will have seen that we no longer have a dining room ( LOL !) - instead we have a lovely little craft classroom which I use to teach my weekly classes and to do all my SU preparation and creating ! What many do not know is that I do have a craft room upstairs which contains all the goodies I was tempted by before I became a Stampin' Up demonstrator ! Up until a few days ago I could not even get through the door but and the problem was just getting worse !!! It needed drastic action and for me to be in a ruthless mood and it happened !!! Now peace and serenity reigns in my little room and I have spent a happy few days rediscovering all those goodies that I had forgotten about !
However , I have some cards to share with you that I made a few days ago showcasing the Best of Butterflies stamp set : they are shabby in theme and the style of cards that I most enjoy making !

I love the soft mix of colours and all the pretties that SU have given us to add to our projects - my favs are the Victoria lace trim and the soft sky seam binding - it's divine !!!
Just a few last bits to sort out in my room and then more crafting !!!!

Back to My Roots !!!

Hello ! I have given myself a few days off my business to have a play with some of the new stash ; I have been spending so much time making samples for classes that I hadn't made anything recently that was really me ! So, I put that right and enjoyed a few hours making some shabby style cards and will share them with you over the next few days ! The colours are pool party, soft sky and crumb cake and I have added in some nice little shabby touches with my filter paper flower and some of the delicious stretch ruffle trim in pistachio pudding ! Here is a sneak peek of an embossing folder from the new Autumn/Winter seasonal catalogue which will be available from the 29th August !

The second card features the most fabulous butterfly from the Best of Butterflies stamp set available now to celebrate 25 Years of Stampin' Up ! It is already a favourite of mine and will get plenty of use over the coming months !
More to share with you soon - thank you for for your visit !

Postcard 12 x 12 Wedding Layout !

Hello ! The current theme at the moment seems to be weddings - it's that time of year ! We attended Laura and Dan's  fabulous wedding yesterday as guests and I took some lovely photos which will be gorgeous on a layout - watch this space ! Today though the photo features the lovely Emily and her husband Alan - I have scrapped this one before but it's such a great photo I had to do it again !

I knew when I saw the postcard stamp that I would get a lot of use from it - I have mixed in lots of stamps on this layout and used some of the new DSP Excetera to add interest.
Off to have a play with some new stash today - happy crafting !

Venetian Romance 12 x12 Layout !

Good Morning ! I am in love with Venetian Romance one of the new Designer series paper ranges from Stampin' Up and have featured it in this 12 x 12 layout. When I am designing a layout it's all about drawing attention to the photo and then enhancing it - this paper is lovely and quite dramatic but used carefully in small quantities adds interest !

This simple layout has added interest by using textures - just add some ruffled ribbon, heart bunting and a pleated rosette and the layout comes to life ! I never do a complex layout - I keep it simple and then add layers of interest to draw the eye to the photo !
Thanks for stopping by - happy crafting !

Flower Shop Wedding Layout !

Hello ! I have been preparing for a very special group of ladies who are attending my design workshop on Saturday ! The theme is 12 x 12 scrapbook layouts with a particular emphasis upon Wedding layouts ! I know you have seen this photo of my gorgeous godson and his lovely wife before but it's a favourite of mine so here it is again ! I use four stamp sets - Hello Doily - Morning Meadow ( hostess set ) - Flower Shop and Happy Day - and just two inks - smoky slate and soft sky.

The card base is whisper white core-dinations 12x12 and i have used smoky slate and soft sky in small quantities to accent the photo ! Some die cut little leaves, bling and faceted clear buttons completed this simple  layout ! The ladies will make this layout , one other and will have a kit to take home to practice !!!
Thank you so much for taking the time to visit today - happy crafting !
