This Day Forward Anniversary Card !

Good Morning !
It has cooled down a little today and there is even a nice breeze so I think today might be more productive ! I made this very simple anniversary card yesterday for my godson and his lovely wife - they are the most perfect couple and I cannot believe that they have been married for almost a year - the time has flown !!! They are a young couple so I made a fresh simple card using the stamp set This Day Forward which is designed for weddings but perfectly usable for an anniversary card. I added some flowers form the set Flower Shop and used the wheel stamps - Travel Journal and Viola's Lace to give a nice border to sit the flowers on !

I finished off the card with a little bow trim in basic grey stitched grosgrain ribbon and used the labels collection Framelits dies to cut the mounts. The filled in flower is from the hostess stamp set Morning Meadow and I don't know how I can live without it - it's a great addition to the ever growing collection !!!
Happy crafting and thanks for stopping by !

Morning Meadow Wedding Frame !

Good Morning ! Well , we have had some dramatic thunder storms here which seemed to go on all night - the garden is looking messy but slightly greener today after all the rain but this morning it's still no cooler !!! Yesterday I made this very simple mount to frame a trio of wedding photos which were taken at my godsons wedding last August - I have made it to give as a gift for their first wedding anniversary ! I have kept it very neutral so it will fit in with their decor and printed out the photos in B & W because it just seemed to look better in the frame I chose !

I used the stamp set Morning Meadow to stamp the flower sprays and then added little flowers punched with the itty bitty flower punch and then popped some mini rhinestones and pearls in the centres !
Off to make them an anniversary card now !!!!

Old Frame Makeover Stampin' Up Style !

Hello ! I have been painting furniture around the house to freshen up the decor and give old pieces a new lease of life ! We have always waited until we could buy the best we could afford but of course the downside is that nothing ever really wears out - so a fresh lick of paint gives you a new look !!! I have had these frames in the cloakroom for a few years and spruced them up with a paint called Paris Grey - it's gorgeous and will be used again and again ! I replaced the prints with some little stamped collages featuring some of my favourite stamp sets from SU - some new ones and some of my retired favs ! It's a nice way  to enjoy those stamp sets you are not currently using !

I apologise for the quality of the photos - it's hard to get a good photo of a frame with a glass front - but it will give you an idea of the overall effect !!! Off to make more transformations and plan for some lovely workshops I have coming up very soon !
Happy crafting - Hugs Jane xx

Six Sided Sampler Bundle Vintage Quilt Card !

Hello ! I have been having a couple of days in painting furniture - I have discovered Annie Sloan's Chalk paint and everything that doesn't move is being given the Shabby Chic treatment !!! We have been in this house for 17 years and and it just needs a bit of a makeover so , in between paint coats drying I am crafting !!!!!
I have a shabby vintage quilt style card to show you today made from a quite contemporary stamp set - Six Sided Sampler - it comes on it's own or in a bundle along with it's matching punch. I have used both to make the card starting with stamping on very vanilla card stock using a variety of pastel ink shades and stamp sets which are flowery or chintz in theme. Then I stamped over this using the hexagon which gives a stitched outline from the set and then punched all the hexagons out ! I then glued them all to some card ( pre-cut to fit the front of my card base ) and the bits you trim off will amazingly fill in all your gaps - I don't know how this happens - it's magic !!!
Here is a close up of how it looks !

It doesn't matter if they are not perfectly matched up - this all adds to the hand made charm !!!! When the hexagons are well glued down run the whole panel through an embossing folder - I used the new Beautifully Baroque folder as I wanted the panel to look like a shabby vintage quilt !
I then mounted it onto my card front after distressing the edges a little.

I have seen similar cards like this on Pinterest and of course beautiful inspirational images of faded vintage quilts - this is my version and I added some of the delicious new Ruffle Stretch Trim because it looked like the old fashioned ruffles on vintage quilts !
Thanks for taking the time to visit !

Lovely Romance and Papaya Collage Never Ending Card !!!

Hello ! The baking heat continues and crafting and hot sticky fingers just don't go together !! LOL !!! I have had a planning and admin week- getting organised for new classes , planning monthly project kits and designing new samples using the gorgeous stash SU have spoiled us with !!! I made a  never ending card this week for the first time and was so excited when it worked - I am easily entertained !!! Here is my first attempt - I am running an event for those customers who also attend my classes tomorrow - some nice finger food and strawberries with meringue and cream washed down with some iced summer punch ! We are going to make this card too for a bit of fun !!!

I need to be a little more accurate when measuring the internal panels but I am pleased with the results for a first attempt !!! I used three inks - summer starfruit, smoky slate and blushing bride ! The stamp sets used are - Papaya Collage and Lovely Romance and it was all put together on very vanilla card mounted onto naturals ivory !
Thank you for stopping by and happy crafting !

Shadow Box !

Morning ! We are in the middle of an extreme heat wave here in the UK and frankly most of us don't like it and furthermore there is no let up in the foreseeable future !!! We were actually yearning for rain yesterday  !!!! I have a project to share with you today that my regular Friday ladies made a couple of days ago.I bought the bases which were little stationary trays and we used them to make mini shadow boxes . I made mine ( the pink one ) in readiness to use as a centrepiece for an event I shall be hosting at home in October for Breast Cancer Care ( more info nearer the time !! ) . It just needs to have it's pink velvet loop attached -  a friend suggested that I made another to raffle on the day - which I will do !!!

Here are some of the ladies creations - they came out so well - you are so creative !!!

These ladies keep me on my toes; I am always trying to come up with new projects to challenge them and it's really good for me !!!
Have a great day wherever you are and thank you for stopping by !

Lilly and Her scrapbook Layout !

Hello !
Just a vey quick post today to share with you a scrapbook layout I will be teaching to the twenty lovely ladies at the Upton crop tomorrow ! However , I have used some of my pre-order stash including some new inks and the fabulous air dry clay ! The group is lovely and I plan to set up some try me stations for the scoring board and to try out the new magnetic platform !

Off to pack up all my boxes of samples and new Stampin' Up goodies to show them !!!!
