Just a quick post today to share with you a couple of PROJECT LIFE pages I've been working on !!
the subject is my adorable little Lilly ( she's such a poser !!! ) and I have to say being a scrapbooker this is just a great alternative to doing a whole 12 x 12 page - some find that expanse of card difficult to deal with so PL is just perfect !!! You work on smaller card stock ( standard sizes are - 6x4 , 4x4 and 3x4 inches ! ) and then put them all together in little pockets to create a whole page !!!
Here are my two pages - they are back to back because the pre cut cards come double sided !!
Many people I know have said they don't like PL because they feel they cannot do "messy " crafting - the idea is that you craft events that happen in your life as they happen and you add journalling - lots of it sometimes - quite often the pages can look quite crowded and busy !!! But, it is possible to apply the normal design principles that you would to any other project and create a cohesive page that looks pleasing to the eye, is colour co-ordinated and balanced ! These two layouts were way quicker to produce than an average 12 x12 scrapbook layout and they are fun to do !! More to come - I'm liking Project Life !!!
