This and That Journal - My First Pages !

Morning ! You know , I love it when Stampin' Up bring out new exciting products - but the new journal bundle has been keeping me awake at night !!! From the moment I had it in my mitts I couldn't wait to get crafting ! What is so great about it you ask ? Well , lots of things -

• It's a nice size for crafters who do not scrapbook because it's  dimensions are those of a big card so not too daunting for those who can't face the  challenge of a big 12x12 layout ! 
• It therefore provides a nice easy intro to scrap booking and journalling ! 
• Everything is beautifully colour co-ordinated so everything goes together and it's easy to add in your own bits if you stick to the colour palette .
• You don't have to use it as a journal - one of my customers is going to make a recipe book for her daughter with it - it could also be used by demos to showcase all the lovely goodies SU do - stamps, dies, accessories etc....all in one book ! That is what I plan to do with my second one !!! 
• The papers and extras you get in the kit can be used to make cards and other projects as there is way too much to put in the journal - this makes the kit great value !!! 

I could go on but instead I'll share with you the first four pages I have made for mine ! 

I've stamped over the pages and added some die cut doilies and some narrow ribbons ! The photo size is 2x3 inches and this seemed a good size for the page , particularly as I wanted to add two or three ! I also think that B&W photos look nice on these papers and it's nice to add a pop of the colours from the kit !!! Everything used is from the current catalogue except the Sizzlits letters but you can of course use the newer upper case Bigz die ! 

Off to see what else I can come up with !!! Need to design the cover and get that done - can't commit !!! LOL !

Mirror Frame Class !

Good Evening ! 
Busy day communicating today, sighing over the new This and That bundle ( see previous post ! )  and doing the laundry - nice day to peg out though !!! All dry now and ready to be ironed ! 
I am running a design workshop to make the mirror frame shown below - it will be a day class on 17th May starting at 10.30 am - until we finish !!! I have four ladies interested in this class and three firm bookings so may run a repeat class the following week - please contact me for details ! You will be making one of the following - or you can go wild and design your own !!!

Presenting the Gorgeous This and That Bundle from Stampin" Up !

Well , it has arrived after all the hype and anticipation and I have to say I am smitten !!!! It is so gorgeous and it takes a lot for me to rave !!!! The journal itself measures 6x8 inches ( 15x20 cms ) and is bound with a quality pewter coloured spiral ! The outside is made from a very robust greyboard and the front features embossed hexagons ready for you to decorated and personalise . There are two inside pockets and some ready made cute envelopes for you put your treasures in ! 

Each page is made from DS papers and these of course co-ordinate with the pack of 12x12 inch DSP that comes in the kit . The stickers are lovely and so is the washi tape which I am going to try to punch later - I'll let you

know how I get on !!! So many ideas !!! Must get to it !!!!

This and That - Stampin ' Up !

Morning ! Gosh , another glorious day here in Worcester ! As an owner of two very active dogs , it is a relief not to have to deal with muddy paws for a while ! Just a quick post to tell you about a new product bundle from Stampin" Up - it's their version of the popular smash books and it's very lovely ! They  have packaged up a great bundle offer - priced at £29.24 - valid until the end of May ( 15% off the standard combined price if you were to buy the items individually ) ! This includes the journal ( with fabulous printed pages ) , a rotary date stamp , a pack of co-ordinating DS paper, WASHI TAPE and some lovely sticker sheets ! Available to order from today - the colours are muted brights and it's going to be so nice to personalise it ! So much quicker than scrap booking and great for a beginner or a seasoned art journalist !!!

Thinking of You Friend !

Hello ! When I do my little classes I like to make a very tiny card or tag to say thank you for coming and supporting me - I value my customers very highly ! These are some I put together ready for a class on Friday where we will be making mini books ! The idea behind these is that they can be used as card toppers ! 

The stamp, Thinking of You Friend is available from the Spring/Summer mini catalogue and I've added some punched itty bitty flowers, perfect pearls and a butterfly and the leaf stem from the bird builder punch . The card stock is naturals ivory and I ran it through the Framed Tulips embossing folder to make a little postcard ! See, I can do simple and neat when I try !!! LOL ! 

Back very soon with something way more complicated !!!
