Established Elegance card !

Hello ! Hope you are having a good weekend ? I am usually out and about on a Saturday but have a horrid cold so good excuse to stay in a do some crafting ! I wanted to design a card which showcased a wide range of SU products which would be good to use as a demo card ! This is unashamedly pink ( you will see a lot here - I love pink ! ) and is quite simple in it's construction but uses lots of processes and of course products !

Supplies list :
Card Stock : Petty in pink and very vanilla
Stamps: EX Libris and Established Elegance
Accessories : Crumb cake seam binding and vintage brads
Inks: crumb cake and soft suede
Punches/dies: Delicate doilies Sizzlit L and scallop trim border punch
DSP : Fan Fair

This is a simple layered card using the DSP ( lovely ! ) and the Ex Libris stamp as a mat to sit a couple of stamped images upon ! I always struggle with the seam binding - I don't like it too crumpled and so I run it over the end of the radiator to smooth it then it looks too prissy !!! I am pleased with the flower though and I think this purchase will prove to be a good one - lots of uses to explore with this Sizzlit ! Any questions you may have a bout this project please contact me via the link on my profile !
More to come on this theme !
Thanks for stopping by - hugs Jane x

Vintage Scrap Book Layouts !

After all my promises of posting more regularly I then found myself with no internet connection for the last week ! In order to redeem myself I am making a bumper post in the hope that you will forgive me !!!
Any one who knows me will tell you that I am a very keen photographer and like nothing better than to spend hours editing ! Whats more I really love how you can improve really old photos and apply special effects to them. ! These I have used for the following layouts, have had quite a bit of work done on them and then I enjoyed making them into vintage style page layouts !
They feature my late Mum and Maternal Grandfather and I have chosen suitable faded papers and have made some of the embellishments but thought I ought to start and use some of the hundreds of ready made ones I own too ! This is what happens when you have a New year sort out and discover all the things you forgot you had !Hope you enjoy these !

I joined Stampin'Up today as an Independent Stampin' Up Demonstrator so watch this space !!!!
Happy crafting and thank you for stopping by ! Hugs Jane x

Happy New Year and a Very Belated Post !!!!

Happy New Year to all the lovely people who have continued to check out my little blog despite my unforgivable lack of posts and to any newcomers - Welcome !!!! Christmas has come and gone and I am ashamed to say that I managed to make all of two handmade cards for the OH and my Daughter ( one layer cards - which I rarely do and given without envelopes as I couldn't find any the right size for the rather silly card size I had made !!! LOL !! )
Anyway , that is all behind me and I have a mantra for the new year
ACHIEVE !!!!!!
No more excuses of having to cuddle the puppy or any other feeble attempts to not get on with things !!!
The year got off to a good start by attending a day long crop at Funky Farm Scrapbook Barn , Hanley Swan , Worcestershire. Despite the fact that I talk far too much at these events I did actually make a layout and made a start on a mini book too !

The theme of the page is my little baby - she is quite tiny here ( six months old now ! ) and I just wanted to do a baby layout all in pinks !!! I used some nice little buff tags, woven ribbon, a heart shaped doily and  mini buttons to accent the photos and a little stamping and of course I can't do a project without using my trusty punches !
Here is a closer look !

I hope to do more projects involving scrap booking and mini albums as well as cards and do plan to post more regularly too !!!!

Classes will be starting soon so I will post with details and I plan to become  an Independent Stampin' Up demonstrator at the end of January so watch this space !!!!
Happy crafting and thank you so much for visiting !!!

Two Little Blue Cards !

Hello !
Trying to get any crafting done of late has been a challenge and I often have to stop every few minutes to deal with some doggie issue ! Having said that my little baby pup Lilly, is so cuddly, soft and warm I have to confess to spending more time than I should bonding with her ! She is a major distraction when it comes to getting anything done but they are tiny for so short a time and she has already doubled in size in the six weeks that we have had her !
However I do have two small cards to show you both in blue - my favourite colour ! They use a variety of mainly Stampin' Up products with some additions from my older stash .

Such a simple card needs no explanation but I did like the effect of stamping on watercolour paper and then adding colour to the stamped image with a water brush and ink pad.

I love the colour blue with a pop of green and made this card for a very close friend who enjoys a birthday this week. the embossing folder gives a very nice effect on the inside of the card and I like to put a few little extras inside too !

Must try harder this week to put puppy down and do more crafting - she so cute though !!!!
Have a wonderful weekend and happy crafting !
